Today is Earth Day and  my dad's birthday. He's been gone for a long time and yet,  still inspires me to work at my craft and to follow my dream.  You see, my father was very creative, he could turn the ordinary into something beautiful. But he had to work from a very early age, different times, different culture, a young man was supposed to help his family and that was that.  So he crafted whatever he could as often as he could.  And when his only child took an interest, he shared what he learned, but most important, to love what you do and to take pride in a job well done. So, every time I work, I do it for us, because, thanks to him, I can.  Because he made sure that I would be able to pursue my dreams. I honor his memory by working hard,  I'm at my best when I'm creating.
